Actress Emma Watson attended the Oscars with a temporary tattoo and social media went into meltdown…
Time’s Up, the campaign against sexual harassment in the movie industry, was prominent in the run-up to and during this year’s Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday night, but Emma Watson’s arm inscription supporting the movement didn’t include the apostrophe. Some argued that it reflected the Twitter hashtag #TimesUp because punctuation cannot be included, while others were simply scathing in their criticism.
In response the actress tweeted, “Fake proofreading position available” but the BBC needs one as well. Their headline used “proof reader” instead of proofreader. Oops!
